Christine is passionate about holistic health care, and believes massage therapists are an important part of a health care team. After suffering a serious neck injury, Christine found the answer to reducing her pain through massage therapy. She fell in love with the profession, and decided she wanted to help others through massage therapy just as she has been helped.

Building on her extensive knowledge of pathophysiology, anatomy, microbiology, and public health from her bachelor’s degree in health sciences at the University of Ottawa, Christine turned to the intensive massage therapy program at Algonquin College to deepen her understanding of soft-tissue function and dysfunction and how to improve muscle health. Massage for her is a combination of science and art, and is a way for Christine to continue her dedication to public health through hands-on care and education.

Christine grew up here in Ottawa and spends her free time playing sports, painting, sculpting and writing music. These talents have taken her into fields she wouldn’t have imagined: for example, teaching art to medical students at the University of Ottawa, and showing and selling her own artwork.
